Good Friday Sonata DOB:

Female ILR#

Dam:

MW Amada (Pierre's Viva Camacho x Amalita)

Goodie is a plain dark brown llama, but she makes up for her color in personality and motherly instincts. Her first baby was a colorful giant and mother produced enough milk to keep him growing at a rapid rate. She must be part dairy cow, because she was still producing a ton of milk when her cria was six months old. This female is such and easy keeper she always goes with the flow and I can walk up to any time and pet her. This female has an excellent pedigree and her grandfather Pierre's Viva Camacho was the highest selling male in a public auction  at $190,000.00 until Newevo sold a few years ago and broke the record. If you like easy handling llamas this is the girl for you. Goodie is open but I will breed her to WLK Moonwalker as part of the package if you want her bred. Bred to Savarati for a 2008 spring cria.

Liberty was one of the first female llamas that I purchased at a public sale. At the time I didn’t know much about conformation and I was buying on looks. She had a terrific head set, there were a large number of llamas at this sale and she is the only one I liked. I lucked out because I didn’t know it at the time but she has excellent conformation. She is a medium size girl that produces nice size crias and has plenty of milk for them. This girl is an easy keeper, handles very well and gets along very well with other llamas.  This female had three babies for me and the last one is on this "for sale" page see D3E Atlantis. Liberty is open at this time. Bred to Savarati for a 2008 spring cria.

D3E Red Firecracker
DOB: 7-04-2004 Sire: E.L. Red Alert (G.L.L. Dorado x LW Mauna Lani)
Male ILR# 258978 Dam: PL Ruby Cheeks (Picazo x Ruby Too) (Whist)

This Junior Herdsire is going to be a lot like his father, E.L. Red Alert in that he has the conformation the style and the very nice disposition. This male has a coat of very fine and silky wool that lays close to his body. His mother has very fine silky wool that contributes to this gene pool. Firecracker is very easy to handle, he has been shown and has done very well in the local shows. He is not as big as his father and will be more of a medium size male. This would be a great hearsire for those of you that like the smaller llamas. He should be ready for breeding this spring/summer.

D3E Chatham Straits
DOB: 7-7-2005 Sire: Avalancher (SRR Grandeur x Definitely Dahlin)
Male
ILR# 264456 Dam: Maubee (Jaun's Majestic Array x Miss Sassafrass)

This boy is going to be a large male, actually he is already big at 20 months and he is still growing. This is the largest male that I have raised so far on this farm and size is one of my goals. He has his fathers and mothers good conformation, style and stretch and as a bonus he is going to have size. He is already taller than both his parents. I only showed him a couple of times and he has done very well by placing in the top three at each show. He is going to have nice fringes and bangs on his face. He just keeps getting better with age. If you are looking for a large male with good conformation you better take a good look at Chatham.

D3E Red Splendor
DOB: 6-09-2004 Sire: E.L. Red Alert (G.L.L. Dorado x LW Mauna Lani)
Gelding ILR# 258971 Dam: SL Makenzie (Monopoly x RAR Mistiago)

This boy is one dynamite offspring of E.L. Red Alert. Splendor is draped with plenty of high luster red silky wool. When he was born his wool looked like it was not drying off because of the luster. Even today he looks like he just was rained on when he walks into the show ring. His fiber is super fine to the feel of touch; it truly is a very fine silk. This wool makes it very easy to groom for the show ring. He has good size on him for his age and he has the long neck and legs to give him a very stretchy appearance. He has it all and the judges seem to think he is very nice also. He has always placed in the top six of his classes. Splendor has that great disposition that both his parents have.  Very easy to work with it certainly would be an easy keeper. Splendor has been gelded.

D3E Night Divine
DOB: 6-29-2004 Sire: E.L. Red Alert
          Female ILR# 258977 Dam: Maubee

I decided to offer one of my three Red Alert daughters for sale. Divine is solid black with a patch of color on the left side of her face. She has a solid frame that is draped with long heavy wool. She has the coverage that her sire Red Alert has, she also has the very fine but dense fiber that Red Alert seems to pass onto his offspring. She has the robust structure of both parents and at the same time has the stretch that gives her a very elegant appearance. Divine has good length on her neck that gives her nice balance. She has the fringes on her ears and a lot of wool on top of head that gives her a very pleasing face. When you run your hand down her back you will feel a lot of substance. Her mother Maubee (also for sale) is a great producer and has plenty of milk for her babies. Divine gain weight daily as she was growing. Her little brother weighed 38 lbs. when he was born and has been gaining a pound a day. Night Divine has a lot of good genetics behind her. As a bonus she has a super personality, like all the Red Alert babies she is easy to work with and is more than willing to please her owner. Bred to WLk Moon Walker for a 2008 spring cria.

D3E Atlantis
DOB: 5-14-2006 Sire: Avalancher (SRR Grandeur x Definitely Dahlin)
Male ILR# pending Dam: Liberty Dewdrop (Libretto x MGF Dewdrop)

Atlantis will be that last of the Avalancher kids, there won't be any more production from Avalancher since Liberty was the last female that was bred before he died late in 2005. This boy has beautiful silky fiber that has some lock structure going on, this he inherited from his father. The good conformation came from both his sire and dam. I think this guy is going to be a little smaller in stature so he will be a medium size llama. He would do very good in the show ring and is a gem to handle. He was the the PR llama in the 2006 group of youngsters.

Pet Quality Llamas

Male/Female

Occasionally I get a llama that doesn’t meet show quality standards because of some minor fault of some sort. Some of the males end up being gelded for penning reasons and keeping the better temperament. Every now and then I will even get a female that shouldn’t be bred because of some physical problem with the reproductive system. These particular llamas are sold at a much-reduced cost as non-breeders or as pets. These animals are very healthy, sound and will lead a normal life. These llamas make excellent pets or companions for other animals such as goats, sheep or small donkeys. If interested in a llama like this please inquire.

Llama Wool

Llama wool (fiber) is also available at reasonable prices. All the fiber is right off the animal and sold by the pound. The llamas are blown out with a high power blower, to remove as much dirt and debris as possible just before they are shorn. Majority of the wool is from one year of growth and this wool is just naturally clean on most of the llamas. Any wool removed from the legs or the back of the neck is thrown away. I have just about all colors and am separating by colors and in a lot of cases by animal. The majority of the wool is the medium to dark brown; there are a lot of lighter colors with a little color mixed with it. I have the gray, tan (butterscotch), black and variations of red. There are bags of wool that are mixed colors from the paints and appaloosas and of course there is white. Price is $1.00 - $5.00 per pound.
